Alex Iozzio (they/them) has loved performing since their preschool days, where they used to dress up in heels and a dress and perform for the rest of the three-year-olds in their class! Luckily for them, growing in Maplewood, NJ, they were able to put all this artistry to good use.
They left New Jersey to study at Penn State University getting their BFA in Musical Theatre as part of the class of 2026. While at Penn State, they performed in a wide range of shows such as Falsettos (Whizzer), Into the Woods (Jack), How to Succeed (Ensemble/Dance Captain), Crazy for You (Eugene Fodor/Dance Captain), Hit the Wall (Newbie), and Sweeney Todd (Ensemble).
Alex has also spent two summers in Wichita performing with Music Theatre Wichita in eight shows across both summers: Something Rotten! (Ensemble/US Shakespeare), Newsies (Specs), Matilda (Rudolpho), Crazy for You (Pete), Frozen (Ensemble), Beautiful (Neil Sedaka), 9 to 5 (Ensemble), and Gypsy (L.A.).
Alex is interested in using their identity to tell unique and meaningful stories that allow others to see themselves reflected onstage. They are an avid reader - Goodreads goal of 75 books a year! - and can quote basically any episode of Real Housewives. Much love to their family and friends! <3
